Hi, I was wondering where I can obtain information/stats on the 1987-1989 turbo 2.0 grand ams? The info I am looking for is how many manual trannys where built between the years 1987-1989 & any other info I can get my hands on. Oh & I do own a 2003 30th anniversary Grand Am GT1 SC/T package coupe with the fusion orange metallic paint. I am kinda of disappointed because & few bells & whistles were taken out of the late 02 & 03 GA's. I know this for a fact because I owned an early 02 GA GT. But what can we do about it? I also own 2 turbo grand ams, one 1987 w/ the manual getrag trans with only 17000 original miles on it & an 1988 turbo GA with about 90K. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your time.

It is not a typo. I believe the Getrag 5 speed manual trans was a German engineered trans. Don't quote me on this, but I believe the getrag was a more rare 5 speed manual tranny than the others out there.

the getrag is a muncie tranny. very good in quality, german build, and alot tougher than the izuzus.
