I am having a problem with my grand am dying when I put the car in drive. It's a98 grand am gt v6. The car will run fine while it's cold, but once it warms up it dies when you put it in drive. I can drive the car in reverse without any problem but once it goes into drive it just dies. I have replaced the thermostat, and temp sensor so far. The check engine light is on and we had it checked before the problem started. When it was checked it threw codes for the temp sensor, throttle positions sensor and egr. Any suggestions?

im not sure, but it could be that the trany is locked into overdrive

maybe its idling too low or something? But if those things are bad, you should replace them, and that would fix your problem?

It is either not getting enough air or fuel to keep running. Have you checked the Air filter and Fuel filter?

Try unplugging your tcc solenoid. If it quits stalling you have found your problem.
