checking for bad injecters "help needed"

i have a minor problem with my car that can be almost anything dealing with my engine. Just wanted to know tthe steps needed with checking for bad injectors. Your information will be greatly appricated. I like learning how to fix parts on a car.

Well --- for a shop low budget way of checking...
Get a long screwdriver and put the tip of it on the injector and hold the handle up to your ear --- if you hear the clicking then the injectors are cycling well -- but if they sound faint or no pronounced clicking then the injector could be fouled or just dead and the fuel is just passing through it.
BTW -- the car has to be on -- and becareful with your clothes -- so that they don't get caught up in anything....

What i was looking for is with a voltage meter. There is a wire harness that is hooked up to the injectors that i need to find and what all the wires are for. Thanx for trying to help;)
