Well the brake lights do not come on. The fuses are all good and none are missing. The shifter wont shift from park. Im guessing because the switch that checks if the brake is pushed in. Does anyone know how to go about solving this problem? thanks -Steve

You've got a bad stop light switch. It should be up on top of the brake swing pedal.

I looked and there are 2 switches on the pedal. What is the function of both of these?

I believe one cancels out the cruise control....and the other is the brake light switch. Just a wild guess, but I believe I am correct.

How far do you have to push the brake in to get the shifter to release? Just a tiny bit, or all the way to the floor?

I replaced the switch and the brake lights still dont come on, and the shifter wont shift. Could it be the wiring? If it is the wiring should i bring it in somewhere?
