I have redone my whole exaust. I got 2 1/4 inch pipe all the way from the exhaust manifold, new cat conveter, and a 3 inch magnaflow muffler. It has a real cool sound and when the rpms are up it has a real lond sound, too loud for some. My next thing to do is to get the header from the fiero store. A bit exspensive but I think It will help, Does anyone have the header, if you do does it have any noticable difference?

i herd that our exhaust manifold that we have is pretty free flowing. i also herd that a new headder wouldnt help much. also what do you think about chopping off my cat converter ? i have been wanting to do it for a long time. will it make my car idle like crap ??

well if you remove your cat... your car will not pass emissions .. you can get a better free flowing catalytic converter.. and our exhaust manifolds for the 2.5s are not that free flowing and i do have the header from the fiero store. just not installed yet.
for my exhaust i have 2-1/2 inch stainless steel pipe from the manifold to the cat and all the way back to my muffler which is a 3A racing muffler (doesn't sound like rice either) nice rumble to it and it is very loud .. my muffler is also stainless steel with the mirrored chrome finish
in my opinion the header would help you out some because each exhaust port has its own mandrel bent tube .. unlike the stock manifold where the exhaust ports share the tube.
one other thing about the 2.5 manifold is that they are known to crack in the weld.
