Hello i was wondering if anyone could help me out please. I have a 1997 Grand am GT and well whenever my engine is cold i have a hard time starting my engine. I have changed the air filter pcv valve and also the gas filter but no luck. I havent changed my sparkplugs nor have I changed the wiring yet, could this be my problem ??
Also i was wondering if I should change my coolant, i havent changed that either yet. I have read that the coolant is good for 5 years but I was wondering what would happen if I waited abit longer to change it.

Just about any engine is going to be hard to start in the winter, but changing your plugs and wires (especially if it hasn't been done before) will help things.

Change the coolant as soon as possible - just becuase it's SUPPOSED to last 5 years doesn't mean the system shouldn't be flushed. Personally, I'd be doing it earlier than the 5 year limit.
