Well, i had the idea in my head that i wanted to lower my car, but then some friends at school told me to just get a body kit. I didnt really want a body kit because of the money and plus the money of getting it painted. So, what do you guys think, should i lower it or get a body kit (cant do both). Also if i lower it, will i have problems getting up and down driveways? Also if you have any pics of an se lowered post them here.

Why can't you do both? Is it the money? Just take your time. That's what I'm going to do. I would lower it first, The springs are easy to put on, I've heard, and there's a pretty big selection of them out there. The body kit is going to look funny with the car at its original height, and then the same friends are going to tell you to lower the car, if they have good taste in cars.

i cant do both because if i did, i would never ever be able to get up anybody's driveway. I just wanna know if i will scrape when i go up steeper driveways if i lower it.

i have to cut the wheel when i pull in my driveway or i scrape. This is at stock height, but I have a 96.

A general rule is to ALWAYS lower before you put on a body kit. Body kits look stupid on stock suspension and that's a fact, not an opinion. Also, if taken at the correct angle, many driveways can be gone up without scraping. Just be careful ;)

Or get some kind of clear teflon stuff to put under the front fascia and it will scrape against that but wont harm your kit or the ground

That is true and lowering is also alot cheaper than getting a body kit unless your doing hydraulics or airbags. I'm stock and I scrape my muffler up comming out of some driveways. For those kind of driveways there is nothing you can do except taking it slow.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind just parking out on the street or wherever before I go up somebody's steep-ass driveway. Why does the city do that stupid #@it anyway? There's this new subdivision they're building in the town of the place I work and I went driving around and went to turn around in a driveway and when I backed out and hit the street my poor front bumper hit hard! Damnit these #@&%^* *&^#%!@^@&^&*@

well its illegal to park on the street overnight here. If you are going to, you have to get like a pass from city hall, and those are only good if you have a good reason like if your driveway is being redone or somthing. I dont think they would beleive me if i said my driveway were getting redone every week :D

Yea,depending on your area it is wise to consider to either just get a kit and some rims or just lower and no kit....Some people do decide just on the kit because they want the kit but don't want to scratch it up on the road conditions and what not.....some just want to be lowered because it is a major apperance change and some rims will finish the look......My area where i live i can be an inch of the ground and not really have a problem with scratching cept for my driveway, once im lowered here in a month or so im going to have to wait for cars longer and turn the wheel at more of an angle when i pull UP my driveway, but hey, keeps from people coming to steal shit from my car, thank god for garages and long uphill driveways.

i agree...look for road conditions...and do yourself a favor...don't get eibach, i did and it just doesnt look good enough for me, i've gotten a lot of compliments on the looks but if you can get Intrax springs because it is a 2 inch drop and it will look a lot better and make your car look fuller.

I have Eibachs. My driveway at home is a pita, but if u take it slow n at least a 45º angle it's fine. I like the drop, n the ride is nice, plus with Intrax ur probably gonna have to replace ur struts which will be more $$. I think Sprint drops the lowest tho, but IDK how reliable they r, but some ppl have 'em. Oh, n if u ever need to be towed.. good luck buddy.
