has anyone else takin the ribbing off a 92-95?

i was jus wonderin if anyone else has done this, i did this yesterday and think it looks pretty good but i still need to fill the holes and grind down the little things that hold on the plastic things

i also did that with my 95....i think it looks a lot better with the ribbing off....i also gotta bondo the holes and take out the rivets....i'm waitin til i put it away for the winter to do it tho.... then i gotta repaint the car and get my decals

Bah. That's the part thats keeping me from doing it, is that you basically have to re-paint your whole car to do it right. Oh well.. we'll see :cool:

Tried that on my car, what i found out is that i have damage from the previous owners accident all over the drivers side door under the molding. The shop that fixed it instead of fixing it completely just covered it up, I couldn't believe it!!! I got it estimated at a collision shop to be 2000 dollars to repair. I knew it was in an accident because my passenger side rear panel is off a GT and mine is an SE, even the badging on the door sill says GT.
