ok, i've decided to go with enekie (sp?) RS-5 rims and 225/45/17 tires. Now i've heard that getting bigger rims will lower your car a little. I know its not gonna be huge, but will it be a little noticable or not? Oh and if there are any comment on rims/tires let me know.

if you upsize correctly, no it wont lower your car any. If you get bigger rims and bigger tires then its going to raise your car. The only way you would lower it is to get a smaller rim and smaller tires keeping your diameter smaller than stock. Why would you want to do that? Just buy lowering springs.

yea bigger rims aren't gonna lower your car at all....I thought the same thing b4 i realized by looking at a friends car with 19 inch chrome rims on a Sebring the car had about the same amount of wheel gab as my GA and after he got them put on i got next to it,he was sitting higher then mine, the two were pretty much the same heighth b4 the rims and it just sat higher and the gap was the same......Springs are the only way to get lower or heating the springs, using spring compressors,or even cutting them which i don't think anyone suggests doing for a certain amount of time.

thanks for the input guys....i dont really care if they lower my car, i just thought i might be able to kill two birds with one stone:D

But as for tire size...225/45/17 is what websites are recomending..how do they look...does anyone have a pic of 17's with those tires? I dont know much about tires, but i do know what all the #'s mean, so if there are any recomendations, just let me know.

are those 225/45/17? If they are, its kinda hard to tell from the angle, but is there much tire on the sidewall?

I have a good bit of side wall and they are proper upsizing to keep the speedo correct

They do look bigger than stock but if you are wanting the big look get 18's.I got 17's cause they are bigger than stock and i would tear up 18's around where I live.

well i've heard that the 18's make for a very hard ride, and i've heard a lot of people love their 17's. Would 225/45/17 be the best size, or is there a size i could get that would make the sidewall smaller, without damaging the rims?

Keep it at a 45 series tire, anything shorter is like wrapping a rubber band around your rim. If you do any sort of faster cornering at all, you're looking at a scraped rim.
