i was just wondering how much it would cost (and if it would be worth it) to do the following, all for a 2001 SE:

1: change my stock interior rear view mirror to a interior rear view mirror with reading lights (since i travel and constantly need to look at my directions/map)

2: add a moon/sun roof (it'd be nice to be able to look at the moon from up above, and it looks nice)

and i was also wondering on how to fix my rear defroster lines (or whatever its called), right now is the cold season, and 2 lines doesn't work anymore (and what sucks more is that those 2 lines are at eye view when i look back)

anyways,
thanks for any help whatsoever

1: Not much. New the mirror with lamps are $50-$75 but you could find some on ebay cheeper than that. All you would need to do is tap into the reading lights in the dome lights and run the wires under the headliner to the mirror.

2: A power sunroof at the dealer or simualr installer could cost you anywhere from $800-$1000 installed.

3: Rear defrosted I have no clue about sorry.

auto zone sells a little kit that repairs the solder on your rear defroster ...odly enough its called rear defroster fix kit as for the sun roof some or your local body shops would be a better choice for such a thing i have a auto glass store that specializes in such things and put a sun roof (non powered )with a liftime warrenty in my truck for 240 bucks , then the lighted rear view mirror you can get one out of a camaro for just about next to nothing most of your junkyards will have them remember to take the wireing harness with you also Hope i could help :agree:

and a note about the moonroof:
if you take the headliner out you will see where the moonroof bolts up exactly! all you have to do is cut the hole. i got a complete moonroof assembly out of a GA for 250. and they arent real hard to install, just need to take your time and be careful!
