View Full Version : Ribbing on 99+?

Has anyone taken off the ribbing of a 99+? would like to know how to do it before i go and try to do it myself

Yeah
there is a small hole up near the front tires. www.grafxworks.com or something like that has a set of thing you can put in those holes. It looks good with them off IMO. Some of the tape stuff was hard for me to get off.

i see the 2 screws that hold it on near the front tire but they just keep spinning and never actually come out, and as for the ribbing on the actual doors (4 door here) are they just held on with the glue or are there hidden screws?

those arent really screws, they are more like clips. I broke both on each side when I took my ribs off. There arent any screws or anything to get the rest of it off, it is all double sided sticky tape.

did it look bad at all when u first took them off? and what did u use to get the sticky stuff off?

it doesn't look bad, just very dirty. I used Goo-Gone and my fingers to get the tape off the doors, then washed tha car as soon as I was done (didn't even wax it.... yet)
