This is going to be a set up for a forced air WAI. Stainless Steel Piping with all correct hook up and things. I was jus wondering when I find a way to make the intake bring air in faster, do you think a intake forcing air into the engine would hurt? If this works I will help other make em and sell a few cheap!

Thats what superchargers and turbos are for.

Would a INTAKE forcing AIR into the ENGINE cause any PROBLEMS or since a TURBO and SUPER do this, the INTAKE wouldn't do it as hard! Remember I am asking about a INTAKE, not turbo or super!:argue:

You won't be forcing any air in fast enough to hurt anything. Basically you're talking more like Ram Air. Guys run 8 psi and above in S/Cs.......you'll never get that high.

Ok I am confused, I know of CAI and WAI but what exactly is RAM?

I don't understand what you're going to be putting on your WAI to make it force more air in faster. RAM-air is what comes on GT's, and comes on a lot of performance cars, it just utilizes some kind of scoop at the front of the vehicle or on the sides, or even the roof on subarus I have seen (don't know if those are functional). Basically it scoops air, and "rams" or forces it into the engine. More air = better combustion = better performance. Ram-air doesn't use any mechanical means to force air into the engine, just the basic laws of physics.
Can you go a little more into detail about what you plan to make to force air into the engine?

I think you meant on the hood. If you meant on the hood, its because the intercooler for the turbo is on top of the engine, and needs airflow, unlike conventional intercoolers that are mounted in the front air dam.

I mean this kind of scoop, on the roof, the hood scoop is also illustrated for those who didn't know what we are talking about.
I don't see how the roof hood scoop could be functional though, at least on a car with a front mounted engine (might work on a rear mount, because that's the direction of airflow), someone explain if it is functional, how it works.

It would be functional in the Lamborghini Jota since the engine is in the back. http://www.auto1.hu/autotortenet/lamborghini/lamborghini54.jpg
As far as roof scoops on a front engine car they're practically useless, but in front engine racecar they are actually used to bring air into the cabin so the driver can keep cool.
