ok i have another problem with my car...and its anotehr damn reason y i want to get rid of it... today i noticed that when i went over the speed bumps at school i kept hearing a grinding oise coming from the front right wheel area. i have a new rotar and new struts and mounts...i really dont understand what is going on...i think i need new brakes cuz its been over a yr...but i dont think the grinding has to do with that part...plase help!!

Hmm, I'd have to hear it but it sounds like either brakes or you have a shot strut :(

its definatley a grinding noise...i dont know if its the sturt cuz i opened the hood and the mounting there it didnt budge...so i dont know :( almost liek the tire could be rubbing along the well but i dont know :cry: I NEED A NEW CAR!

Jack it up, remove the tire, and check the components recently-replaced: strut and rotor.

I'll bet one is lose, and the compression of going over a speedbump is causing the rotor to rub/grind on something.

my celica makes that grinding noise also, whenever i turn sharpy or hit a decent bump, i thought that maybe my tire was hitting the fender (its banged up and loose) but im not sure of that anymore, a friend told me something about a bad strut and bearings or something, i dont remember, i'll check it out when its light out :]
