My near future plans motor wise are DCSport Headers, a custom exhaust, and Borla mufflers. I am still up in the air on either getting the GM supercharger they make for the 2.4L or a custom turbo, from Turbonetics? Let me know what you think thanks!

DC Sport makes a header for the 2.4??? I thought they only did Honda...
Go for it. Its your money, anything is possible if you have the funds.

hey I also only though that borla only made exhaust for the 3.4 (v6's) not the 2.4's. Hey I've been wrong, before just ask my wife.:roll2: but the turbo or the super it all depend what kind of gains you want and what kind of work your willing to do to the motor.

Yeah I was really suprised that they made one too! It says its for the Cavalier 2.4L Twin Cam which is the same one as in my car. And about the Borla they don't make an exhaust for the 2.4L, but they make mufflers. I am not to sure why though? I am thinking it might be a universal type thing.

Be careful if you buy a 2.4 exhaust system by the motor alone. Being that it's designed for a J-body chassis it may be too short/oddly shaped and wont fit right under our cars (this is assuming your getting cat-back or manifold-back and not just a muffler)

.....and, the 2.4 s/c is set up for a stick-shift

What year is your car? If its a 96-98, the header wont work, I CAN GUARANTEE YOU THAT! But if its 99+, it should.

About the supercharger, yes he could do it if he has auto, he just cant run the gm computer tune, he could compensate for it with an FMU though. Personally from reading on j-body.org, it would be cheaper to go custum turbo. Go the the boost section on www.j-body.org, and do some research, theres a lot of good info there.
