you have send your comupter to them and they put the chip in it and send it back to you.

oh ok.....i got one of those.
there is a really big difference in the 2.
tpse is just for quicker throttle response... no preformance gains at all!
ase chip is a all together different.
this will sum it up: http://asechips.com/products/ASE%20Chips/what%20is%20chip%20tuning.html

so which would you prefer? it said on one of those faqs that you prolly shouldnt use a TPSE if you get the chip

theres no need to ... ase will do it all and GIVE YOU A PERFORMANCE INCREASE.............tpse will NOT.
go with ASE hands down!

i have an ASE chip and i wouldnt turn back. the only problem i have with them is that they closed their US location and are located only in mexico now. they used to be down the street from me, so it only took the day to have them install my chip.

pre... how is that TPSE? I hate how sluggish the response is. Does the TPSE just increase tension on the throttle cable?

What would I have to send to get this chip and where would they do the work?

somewhere on the website a pop-up come sup saying they are indefinitely moved away. they didnt give a new address, but i heard they moved to mexico, then shortly after that pop-up, the page turned to spanish. lemme see if i can get the exact words on the pop-up.
you can go back once you get the chip, i was just saying that i wouldnt go back. if i had to do it all over again, i would. they can sell you the stock chip for $50 and you can reinstall it. i havnt done anything with mine yet.
pop up says "NOTICE ASE CHIPS USA IS OUT OF ORDER FOR INDEFINITE TIME.
ASK FOR QUOTES OR QUESTIONS TO INFO@ASECHIPCS.COM
THANKS"
not quite sure what its all about.

Hey Dave, when did you get yours done? How much did it cost, considering you didn't have to mail your PCM there.

Hey that's cool. I'd love to get something going! We should try and get a mini-meet or something.
However, tomorrow would not be a good day, I got school and I work in Moreno Valley till 9 :( .
Tuesday would be cool. Besides, I need to clean my car. :D

There's a meet in oceanside next month? Is it a GA meet? I need to keep with the times.
hmmmm...Not to be a cheapskate or anything, but I wonder if there's a way to hack into the PCM, or into the ASE chip...

1) its a mostly grand am meet. there will be the V8 grand am, along with lots of other sweet ass grand ams. you really should go. we could caravan since i live on the way for you. ill try to arrange a caravan of many GAs.
2) heres how ASE it works. they remove the the intel chip on your PCM, solder on some rails, and then pop their reporgrammed chip on. the rails allow you to take their chip off and pop the intel one back on. i dont see how to get the effects without knowing how to program a chipset and i wouldnt risk the hazards of soldering on your PCM.
