Is their any way to remove the shift knob if it was glued on. I removed the staple and it wouldn't come off yet alone wiggle, so i am assuming it is glued on. I have a 95, Auto.

1. pull up the ebrake.
2. turn the car to accessory.
3. put the car in low gear (shifter all the way back)
4. theres a little C-clip right under the shift button on the front of the shifter, i use a flathead screwdriver to pull it out.
5. pull up and twist side to side to free the shifter.
I dont know if your car has the button on the side of the shifter... IIRC it does NOT being a 92, but if so, theres 2 wires for the button (if you have ETS).

I think you have to press in the button too.
