Been gone for a while, didn't find anything about this posted anywhere else.
Have you guys seen the new AED Fenders they recently released? They look sweet as hell! AED makes some pretty sweet body parts, these are their best work IMO (I'm not crazy about the body kit).
As soon as I saw these on the site, I had my credit card ready to buy... they are exactly what I want. Then we come to AED's down side... I look at the price and it's $625... F*** that. Why do they make great parts that cost too much to buy? I can afford it, kinda, but there is no way I am spending that much for just fenders. I can buy a whole AAS kit for that much.
Just so you AED lovers know, I'm not bashing AED... I think they make sweet stuff and I love the new fenders. Just wish they weren't so damn expensive so that maybe I could buy some parts.

And if they drop that price maybe a FEW hundred, I will buy them instantly!!! They are exactly what I want right now, the other fenders on the market just don't go with the style of the GA and the SC/T hood... these ones DO!

well, if you MUST know ;)
they are coming out with fiberglass versions of the fenders that will be considerably cheaper because fiberglass is cheaper to work with than the high-heat epoxy they are currently using....so you WILL have a cheaper option (id say @ 200 less than the 600) so maybe you will want to consider those when they come out.

Thats the prob im talking about i mean i can speak off of personal experience. I understand that they have to make a special mold and the numerous other steps involved but if you sell lets say three -5 at that price there asking for thats paid for, then all you have is material and labor cost and 700 dollars come on now350- 400 pr is more than enough but i guess your paying for the name AED LOL.
It would be cheaper to have some vents molded in and if you wanna argue weight what are you gonna save by going fiberglass a # if it doesnt add #'s to your car thats one reason why i dislike my AED kit the weight i added to the car thats why i wanna offer poly kits and glass kits. But anyways there nice but priced to high im sure someone will step in and argue this but ive run with veilside kits and there price is 3 times higher than AED but i dont mind paying the extra for veil just because of the quality there replacement plan and the list goes on have your kit stolen and ask AED to replace it for free LOL. all veilside with a case # from the police and your serial off the parts and bamm 3wks your new pieces are there no cost involved.

Paul (lighteningGA) has AED fenders and they look good. My only grip with the looks is that the top line in the heat extractor goes at a angel and not straight. Kind of disrupts the body line a bit. Looks worst on light colored cars than dark.

Yeah it should be up on the table above it. lol

When shopping for a hood for my truck I went with steel over fiberglass. Stronger, less finishing work needed, easier to repair if anything happens to it, and typically cheeper.

As far as fitment is concerned, aed's fenders (as well as all products in my opinion) fit like they came from GM. If you can get over the price, then get a set :)
You should also watch as they run small specials on parts from time to time.. mostly discounts on shipping, but less money out of your pocket is less money, regardless if its less on shipping or less on the part itself
About the soda can- You guys gotta understand Mike. He's a live freely kinda guy... yeah he spent a bunch of money on his car, but he looks at as a car, just modded. He drove that thing alot (not quite a daily driver, but pretty close) ya know what I mean? He doesn't go around acting like he's rich or stuck up, he just wanted a good lookin car.
btw LOL @ the table comment! I've got some pics from a show in 04 or 05 w/ Mike & Susana's car w/ 4 models beind the cars making it look like they were pushing them w/ the wing like shopping carts... it was funny

aed !!!!!!!! dont get me going. first of all. all your doing is reading. sooo they "released" these parts. but NOONE HAS them. just with the calanders they "released". along with 100's of other people still waiting for parts. yes, they do "hand make" ect ect *bull cr*P" . i had the aed tails. they deff did not fit like a OEM part. and my car was NEVER in any accident. i spent alot of money geting them molded into my car. it sucked cuz when i just got rid of my car i coulda sold them.
