If he doesn't want them, then I do. How much for em? I want to clear mine, but I don't want to not have a backup set in case I f*** up the first set real bad.

Look at the gap between the light and the bumper. You can get your hand through it. There's a pic floating around over at gagt, where someone actually accomplished this.

i called len about that when i got my tailz, i asked him basicly .."WTF!?" he said he did that so if u get rear ended ur bumper doesnt crack the lights and u gota spend money to get new ones.

thats BS, i talked to len last night as he and susana looked at the ones on my car, and mine fit better than stock lights. i asked him about everyone saying that you can fit your hand under the lights and he said that the problem only occured on his since it was a test piece.

if theres a gap id have to believe that its installed wrong. ill get a pic of mine soon and post it.

note: theres a gap if you leave the lens off.

#1 how can they fit better then stock lights because with stock lights u have a rubber washer on the outside of the light to seal it off from the elements. with aed, u dont.

#2 you have to be a complete moron to install plug and play lights incorrectly. its only 4 bolts. there is a gap on every single set of these tails unless u custom fit the rubber washer on it.

len told me wut he told me and he told u wut he told u. maybe len made a big OOOPS in his mold design and cant remember to give the same story to people when they call and ask..:P

1) the lens on the AED lights are bigger than those on the stock ones, so they replace the rubber washer.

2) you need to add washers to get them aligned right if they dont align right at first. its not as plug and play as the stock ones.

i didnt talk to him on the phone, we were sitting in his H2 when we talked, with my car right in front of him. this wasnt the only time he told me this.

do you actually own these lights? have you installed them?

Shogun

i have them installed and the lights are smaller then the hole where the stock ones fit. if it had the rubber surrounding the clear lenz like the stock ones do it would fit perfectly. without it they have the gap. i installed them myself and they look like all the other pictures of people having them installed. if you have some special ones that fill up the hole completly, by all means post it up..

k see wut u have done is INCREASED ur gap by ur truck lid, and DECREASED ur gap by the rear bumper. simply done by moveing it alittle b4 putting the nuts on and the washers. i have NO gap by my trunk lid, but i have gap by my bumper. So really its all the same.

TRUE....it looks so much better the way Dave did it...so why dont all people do it that way instead of leaving the gap on the bumper which looks worse...

its all the same except thats how my stock lights fit. the gap by the trunk lid is no larger than before, but the shadows make it look bigger than normal.

I am buying the clear lens from them when I go down there on the 14th to replace my cracked GT tailz. I won't have to worry about the gap will I? Just curious.

I agree. I've noticed that on several cars. I don't know if it's thei rbody kit of tai llights but jsut about everyone I've seen has a gap there.

Sounds like a lame excuse if you ask me.

Who knows maybe BMW and Benz will use this brilliant idea and start putting huge body gaps thought out the car.

arguments are what makes the world go round. :D

john, thats why i cant see len saying that, plus like i said what he told me.

oh, and john, you asked earlier if they come with the clear lens, yes they do. they come with everything you need to get it together.
