Serious buyers - please! I just exchanged emails with PFYC and they said they would do it for 599.00 per hood if ten or more join in (heck, if we get more than fifteen, I know a wish, we could talk about an even better price) --. I guess the last time "we" did a group buy with them a few folks backed out at the last minute, so they are a little hesitant - so be willing and able to get the hoods. -- Im ready to buy just waiting a more buyers.

599.00 is a good deal for these - real good quality -- you wont have to worry about getting a hood that has to be altered to fit your car once it's received.....

Why cant I get so lucky? :) -- Ive been wanting to do this for a while.......just want in on the SD style vice the warbird style scoop...I guess Ill have to be patient.

the way the group by usually goes is.

that you come up w/ 10 sure buyers then contact www.pfyc.com and let them know you are ready.. then all of you purchase the hood.

So no money is needed until its time for check out. So lets say you have 9 guys.. well then you would make ten. Then the starter of the group by just contact pfyc.com and you all go and order your hood.

the sc/t hood only has scoops on the front..... where as the sd hood, the scoops have openings on both the front and rear, air can pass straight through the scoops on the hood.

Which one if any comes stock with one of the stock Ga's? Which one performance wise would best cool the engin. It seams that SC/T would make more of a vacume affect due to the rear scoops, but the SD hood would funnel more air into the engin as to the air going in one scoop and out the other... Thanks, bob

There like 4 hood for our cars.

1) SD
2) RK
3) GM
4) pfyc.com
5) AED
6) carbon fiber stock style hood

2-4 are all the same style SC/T.. number 4 is a little more boxier.

the SD is open in the rear but only the passanger side is open. The 2 front scoops are attacthed to this metal piece (i think its metal) on the bottom of the hood that directs the air to the top of the air box. you would have to customize something to attatch it to the box while being careful not to get water in the filter.

i think the only hoods that have open fronts are the SD and AED one.
the rest have the front sealed but can be cut open.

and i know the RK SCT style hood does not have a little metal plate directing the air to the air box.

yeah that is what i hear people doing but when you cut them, all the water and stuff just dumps into your engine.. the only ones w/ cut open ones that have a custom underside that let air flow to the top of the air box are the AED and SD.

sorry just realized you have an 4cylinder car.. i think your airbox is in a different place than the 6 cylinder car... but i am not sure.

why do you want the fronts open? help you out better that way...

stingerfiberglass.com has the SD hood with alot of good pics and info on prep for it, Ram Air for the front ducts and the rear are heat extractors, cutting required to mount upto your stock air box.

I love the SD hood. I think if I had to make a choice between the factory SCT and the SD I'd go with the one that is cheaper, but with this group buy I think that the extra savings would tilt it in the favor of the SD.

I am really interested in the amount of prep work that needs to be done. I'm really interested in getting one for my car. I already ordered the SCT spolier, now I just need the hood!

I talked to my body shop today and everythings a go on my end. I'm ordering next monday and getting it shipped straight to the shop. It'll take about 2 weeks from order time to the time they get it, then about another two before I get it installed. In a little over a month, I'm gonna be a happy man. :)
