First I`d just like to say that it`s been a very long time since I last visited GAOC (limited access to a computer nowadays) and it feels great to be surfin` the pages again so, HI EVERYONE :wave2: Okay now for the questions. Income tax is just around the corner and I`m planning on buying new rims and possibly a lowering kit depending on how much I get back. I talked to my mechanic today about 17s w/ the 215/45 series tire and he said it should fit but it may rub. Now I know better from what I`ve heard but I just want to double check, will I get any rubbing with the 215/45-R17 set-up with an Intrax or Eibach kit?

no rubbing, you can get 18's if you wanted with no rubbing,im going 18's and i got the Sprint Performance Suspension springs for my 97,about a 2inch drop or around that ball park, you won't have any troubles with rubbing or anything:) if you get 18's,ive had a lot of people around here with them suggest 215/35/18,just cuz its close to factory size and the mph won't be off much.
