ok, so i'm walking out of school today, and i see an eclipse with the rims that i really want. They are enkei RS 5, and they have 5 pretty skinny spokes. Now, when i pointed this out to my friend he said "wont those bo too thin? An eclipse is much lighter than a GA." So now this has me worried. I think these rims will look sweet on my car, but is there such thing as spokes being too thin?

First off the Eclipse isn't much lighter than the GA, esepcially a new one, maybe 100 pounds or so.
If your worried about bending the wheel the most typical place for it to bend is along the outter rim, meaning the bead and drop center areas.
If the spokes appear too thin they might be a bit thicker. I'm sure if they weren't stronge enough for a 3100 pound car they wouldn't sell them.

Oh yes...especially a company like Enkei, they are very high quality and really, all wheels have to pass DOT standards.

No. If they were, their lawyers will inform them.

Man as a Enkei owner I can vouch for thier quality and craftsmanship.I have the 5+ and they have faily thin spokes no issues here even on a rough road.
