Suspension Problems

My car has been making a loud thunking noise when i hit a bump or anything alike. I reciently placed Kyb struts in the front thinking it would revive the problem but it still continues. I'm now thinking it is the... can't think of the word... the upper part of the strut that is between the spring and the body... I was hoping for any imput on your guys thoughts if I'm on the right track or way off.

[edit] Also when I give it full throttle or close to it, it makes the noise. Engine braking it does the same thing.

could be a ball joint that make about the same clunking noise

might wanna check that ball joint,if you have gotten your struts replaced the ball joint might not be totally secure.Any trouble with steering? I know if that ball joint comes lose your gonna have problems,driving down the road and steering will be impossible.

The sound could just be from vibrations,any time your car moves, the ball joint or whatever it might be is rattling and causing the noise.
