I had a real bad noise and vibration in my car, so I just brought it into PepBoys. Unfortunatly Im at work in NJ and I live in NY so I was stuck bringing it there.
The strut was comming through the strut tower.
I told him to replace the one strut, as I dont trust PepBoys #1, and #2 I rather do the other at my mechanic.
They are charging me $339 for one strut replacement and the tower. Leaving the spring in. The car only has 28000 miles on it, and it probably broke from hitting one of the huge holes NYC has.
Now heres the thing. The guy is telling me "Oh you cant just change the broken one, you need to do both (700+), because the car will swirve.
Anyone have any instight.
