View Full Version : Silverstar turn signal bulbs

Has anyone tried those new Sylvania turn signal bulbs (3157s)? They are kinda chrome looking but light up amber like normal. Might be a neat little mod.

I haven't heard of them yet,must have not hit this area yet.....Are you wanting a bright white look? or just keeping the orange/amber look? My Bright Whites are an amber when dim but when they flash for turning signal they are just as white as my headlights are.

They are new (just came out in November I think). Its not that they light up any different than a normal amber bulb, but when they are off it looks like a chrome bulb instead of an orange transparent bulb.

if u have a cleared tailights is it bright enough

Well, I picked some up last night and put them in the front. They look cool. They are a chrome/blue bulb, but they light up amber just like the factory 3157 bulbs. Looks great reflecting blue in the chrome headlight assembly when they're off, but amber and legal when they are on. And yeah they are just as bright as the plain amber bulbs.

Yeah I love the way they look on my GA too.

they accually have bulbs out now that look chrome and blink amber or what ever color. they have been out for about a year. or at leats my boy had them on his car for about a year

Does anybody know what kind of bulb like that will fit in the 92-95 civic headlights?

They should have a computer right at the lighting display that you can put your year, make and model into. That should give you the right bulb. Or you can also do what Dave C suggested if there is no copmputer.

Those look pretty tight. I was wondering where you purchase the turn signal bulbs at for your car.

Any of the parts places should have them. I think I got mine at Access Auto. Them were about ten bucks a pair. Check for rebates too. Sylvania was giving $5 off when I got my silverstars.
