hey everyone..i know this doesn't have anything to do with grand am's, but it has something to do with driving..i just got back from a girl's calling hours that i graduated high school with in 2002...she was on her way home from college for winter break and she slid on some black ice and hit a semi head on supposedly...she was my classes valedictorian and was just a great person in general..what i wanted to say was...whoever lives in places where the weather gets bad in the winter, PLEASE BE CAREFUL..i'm not tryin to sound like the old fashioned father here, but put your hard a$$ pride aside when driving and take it slow other than showing off all of your "mods"..please no one take that the wrong way, i just see so many drivers trying to show off their car, even in the worst of weather and it really pisses me off..so after waiting in line for 3 hours to see a 20 year old girls body in a casket next to her middle-aged parents still with a whole life ahead of them, the reality set in..be careful, i would hate to see any of you get hurt..thanks for listening :(
p.s. the girl was not driving fast or trying to show off..just simply hit the black ice and slid into the oncomming traffic

It's amazing how people who you know and perceive as such vibrant individuals can be snatched away from us without so much as a moments' notice. It's very humbling and a tad bit frightening when you step back and see how fragile life truly is.
It's been said a few billion times before. But, as cliched as it may seem, this illustrates just how little time we really have with one another and how important it is for all of us to take the time to tell the people we love and care about just how much they mean to us. The only thing we know for certain is that we're all going to die at one point or another.
Unfortunately, we haven't exactly pegged knowing when that's going to be...

Gah man, I'm really sorry to hear that. I know exactly how you feel. I have a friend that just got into an accident on Tuesday. He wasn't supposed to live through the night. He is my age to, only 17.
But my sympathy goes out to her family.

very truley sorry to hear that, i had friend die in a similar fashion. she was just minding her own business, when a car entered her lane, she tried to swerve to mis the car but her truck hit the dirt on the soft shoulder, and flipped her down the side of the embankment. she left behind two young doughters and her husband,
so i know the pain your goiing through
keep your head up especially when you drive.
