belt cam?

as you may already know gm has used all its subcompanies to develope this motor i was looking for some performance stuff from europe and found that vauxhall's eco has belt driven cams (like hondas) and ours are chain driven. is there any + or - to either or does it even matter?

just incase your wondering all i found was some belt driven cams that brought it up to 160hp

Belts usually dont last as long as anything chain driven in general but chains are usually more harsh sounding that belts. Thats about all I know.
