Man, i have been looking for that thing for the past few days and i cant find it. well after my motor seized up, i put the new 3100 in and the Check oil light keeps comeing on. Any one know where that sensor is? am sick of seeing it on. Once oil heats up for about 90sec i turn the car off and turn it back on and the light go's out :(

Not shure man. You can just pull a fuse or splice the wire going to it and reconnect them when you want it back. Other wise i would have to look i dunno. :???:

there are two sensor the low oil sensor and the oil pressure sensor, on my 98 the low oil sensor is right on the bottom of the oil pan, and the oil pressure is a little tricky to describe but bare with me i will try and draw a picture and get back to you.

ok so when your under the car look up and you see the oil filter and the start right by each other, if you look further up past that you should see your knock sensor screwed into the block look further to the right (toward the drivers side) and you should see another sensor screwed into the block that is it...crappy drawing but you should get the idea.

Look under the exhaust header at the front of the motor - there are two sensors there:

I kinda have an idea where it is now, but I'd still would probibly be lost if I was looking for it under the hood. I need to change mine after I get my sports cluster in.

I'm still trying to get a good shot, but it's about -20 degrees Celsius (or -4 degrees Fahrenheit) today, and that's just too damn cold.

In the meantime, try these:

The highlighted block in the above picture is of the wiring harness that runs under the front exhaust manifold.

This picture shows a close up - the wiring branches off in a Y shape - I believe the right branch of the Y leads to the oil pressure sending unit.

sorry, i know this is an engine "specific" section but you guys seem to know more about this than the other section. Is it in the same general area on the 2.3 Quad 4 DOCH. Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Sorry, guy, can't help ya - I can't find anything on the location of the oil pressure switch on the 2.3 or 2.4 Quads.
