I'm looking into buying and indash dvd/cd stereo similar to this
?http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3068695384&category=32826
Now if i wanted to keep my stock amplifier setup for instance keep the amp connected to all the speakers like normal could i still do this? I'm not going to wire anything myself but if i had to explain it to someone who would what would i need to do?

Other than the video section, its the same as adding an aftermarket headunit.

Do you have the Monsoon system in your car now?

I don't know anything about stereo wiring so bear with me on these questions about this.

Yes I do have a monsoon system. So i can keep the Amp and not loose any sound qaulity with the new head unit?

actually your sound quality should increase. i'm not so sure with that particular unit. i've never owned any lanzar or pyle, but i've heard it's crap. and that price should be a dead give-a-way. any other indash dvd player with screen would be AT LEAST $1500. Alpine has one that is closer to $2500. but it's your money and your car:)

Well. What if I got another head unit that doesn't have a screen but it is something like a 4x50 could i still use the stock 8 channel amp without any problems wiring?

your asking the wrong person about monsoon lol. i THINK you have to have some kind of special harness to get your amp to work. but yes, when you plug in the right harness from your aftermarket headunit to the factory harness everything should work like a charm

How do you know which harness to get with each headunit?
