What will be the best way to get some extra horsepower out of my 2.5 Liter 4-Cylinder. I'm thinking I should have my engine machined and rebuilt. I just want to know what type of parts I should use for this rebuilt. I would really appreciate the feedback from everybody. Thanks.

From what I've heard, doing a good porting & polishing of the cylinder head and intake manifold on the 2.5 is one of the best things that you could do for this engine.
The Fiero store sells a Headder for the 2.5, as well as different Cams (Comp Cams also has some for the 2.5).

one of the easyest ways to get a lil extra power is chopping off the cat an replace with a straight pipe an mabby a high flow muffler. Also get some Accel coil packs an use 8mm plug wires instead of 7mm, an you should see a nice gain. Worked for me:D

Snoop, just curious...since you removed your cat., have you noticed any smoke coming from your exhaust? On nearly every car I've seen that had the cat removed they seemed to smoke a little bit. It's probably hard to tell now, especially when its cold out, but just wondering. Thanks

your right most cars do smoke when the cat is removed, supprisenly it does not smoke at all !! I had it removed a while back when it was warm outside an it didnt smoke at all. My buddy has a integra an he removed his cat an it sounds like a weed wacker an it smokes a lot !!!!!
P.S. By the way nineteen88ga hows your duke doing these days??? hit me up on Instant Messanger some time, at ( littleb1314 ). Also where has NiteShadow82 been at ??? PEACE OUT

I know Honda makes riding lawnmowers and stuff so maybe thats why they tend to sound like some sort of yard machines....lol
The duke is doing good. I plan on taking a few days off of work once I get all my parts in and taking the time to get the bulk of my winter mods done. We'll see how that goes...lol
