Just checking where people are planning on staying this year for the meet.

I have my reservations at the Holiday Inn (Albany-Turf on Wolf Rd.) again, and I have contacted them about giving us special rates. I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out.

The Holiday Inn is the one with Free Internet Access, Heated Indoor Pool, On-Command Movies, Sauna etc... I am a priority club member and always stay at Holiday Inns... I love em.

I'll let everyone know what the rates are as soon as I get a call back.

Cripes, you and the internet access...I liked the concrete walls, it made for nice sleeping. Let's just stay where the majority of people are gonna stay..and where Leanne can get the best rates...

I am working on the nice comfort inn that was next to the HoJo's My cousin is the hotel manager there and she told me she could hook us up this year as long as it wasnt a holiday weekend. :) I am going to email her later tonight. We would be looking at the family discount. I will keep you posted as I find out from her. How many people would need rooms? I don't remember how many were booked last year. Would you say about 15?

angelluv98

Ok, I talked to Holiday Inn and they said that if we were to book a block of rooms they could do a nightly rate of 94.00, just to let everyone know. Thats a good discount from them as far as I know, but how that stacks up to other hotels I don't know.

I am just waiting to hear back from my cousin to see what she can do, I emailed her yesterday. When I spoke to her in September I told her about what you guys paid at HoJO's and she said she is almost positive she could match that if not better. She got my parents a nice room in Niagara Falls for $35 last summer. So lemme see what she can do. :)

Last year there wasn't really any bar hopping.. a few went to the bar while we chilled in the parking lot.. someone can just host a party in their room like last time. Then no one needs to worry about being underage etc.

Well there is street racing in Albany. Two choices, Muscle Cars or Imports. I just hope that it doesn't fade off as quick as it did last year. I don't recall watching any real street races except for the motorcycle ones I witnessed.

Actually I think it's 21.

I know someone that is 21 can sign for you and you can get a room that way.

If anyone needs me to sign for a room ( You best SWEAR that you not destroy it ) I'll sign for you. I'll be making up a "contract" of sorts though, that you'll have to sign when we get there.

I don't mind signing, but if I get held responsible for damages YOU'RE paying for it! :D

you can do it however you want. if there is someone going you would feel comfortable rooming with I would recommend that strictly to save money. but that is entirely up to you.

and for the other questions, if you have a credit card then you can get a room.. I was 20 last year and no probs and have had my own room before when I was 18....

We'll hook up for sure. As for the real drunks you guys will have to fix the bad reputation I gave us last year :D One thing's for sure I won't drink much this year.

As for getting down there I'll be taking the train from Montreal. It's cheaper and saves a lot of mileage on the car. My poor baby just turned 2 years old a week ago and it's already at 64k km. Good thing I got that 5 years/160k km extended warranty...

Oh and my offer to share a room is still open if anyone's interested...

And my car will be 2 years old in june, and she already has 39000kms on her :(

And about the room, I'd take you up on the offer, however I'm still not even 75% sure that I'm going yet.

well, i would love to attend this year! and see everyone's modded GA's, but only if a few more wisconsinites make it... thats a long way to travel by myself...
