odometer problems

For some reason my odometer stoped workin the other day. also the trip meter doesnt work. Any ideas ?? And my stearing wheel is loose an moves up an down a lil so i though it mabby had something to do with that ????? i dont know. Has this happoned to anyone else ???

sounds like the little gears inside the cluster stopped working for the odometer. If you take your cluster out you can take it apart to see what is wrong. As for the steering column it could be two things... one the steering knuckle is bad and you can replace the knuckle or whole column. Two...there are two bolts under the dash that hold the column up and those can become loose over time which would make it feel like the column is moving up and down..
