Hey guys, im a newbie, i live in newark, nj, bout to turn 18 in a few. My dad gave me the 87 grand am that he rarely used (he bought the car new back in 87, and only had 58k miles in may of 2002) since then i put 13k in bout 8 months. i had a few races, highway and drag. (4 Kills: 87 Golf, 89 Golf Gl, 94 Integra RS, & 95 Galant). The car has some ballz to be beating sum of these. On Feb. 21st im taking it to the englishtown track to run a few 1/4's against the 87 golf, 02 elantra, im hoping to at least hit late 16's, early 17's...which i feel is reasonable for the stock car. If any1 has some 1/4 experience on stock iron dukes i would like to kno wha u ran. Soon ill have sum pics and u can check wha i got.

(My grand am has 2 10's Jensons 500 watts, 2 front 4in Jensons speakers 90 watts each, stock 6x9's (also have 6x9 kobe's undecided if i should put them in), amp and headunit are needed for the complete setup)

I would think you may run low-mid 16's, not too familer with the Tech4 though (performance wise)

in 1990, when Motor Trend tested a SE w/ Quad4 HO and the 5 speed, it did 0-60 in 7.2sec. and the 1/4 in, I think 14.5 or so (I have that issue)

no way did a grand am with a ho quad do 14.5 in stock form in 90, shit the w41 was tested in 1991 as 14.7 for the quarter, and that has been proven impossible with a stock w41, they used a bilmar one. maybe 15.2-15.5 its a fast car, but not sub 15.
