So, once again I returned to Big O tires because my left front tire was running low on air and my rear left tire had a nail in it. The same thing that happened last year. I had just bought 2 new rear tires too so that just goes to show you that bfgoodrich geforce kdws tires are so sticky they even attract nails.

Anyways, this time when the checked the front tire they found a tiny pin hole in the metal of the rim which they were not able to find before. I swear the wheel only looses air pressure under certain conditions because mostly it kept the air pressure but on occasion in would run low.

To make a long story short they replaced the wheel for a case of bud light because I had lost the receit and now I have one shiny rim. The others are 2 years old now and have faided due to the stuff they put on the roads here in Colorado when it snows. I'm thinking I'm having them chrome plated because they were only polished to begin with.

Well, that's my story and I'm stickin to it.

yeah there's a guy on campus with 18' chrome rims w/ spinners and hasn't taken them off yet..you can see a sort of rust starting to form a little..when the rims cost more than the car, why wouldn't you take care of them?! :D

My rims aren't actually chrome, they are just polished.

I didn't take them off because the stock rims have stock tires which suck in the snow. And besides, it really doesn't snow that much around here, and when it does the snow melts within a day.

It's mostly that they have 2 years of road grime and brake dust and all the rocks that just wear the polish down. I'll prob just have them re-polished. As for the guy with the spinners I bet that would be a pain in the ass to polish those back up.

Bottom line my rims I paid good money for no matter how lil snow i get will not touch snow or salt.I would rather run sucky rsa's than ruin wheels I paid good money for man
