just a few ? about this car. just got it wednesday and it has no ashtray......no lighter either but the hole that it goes into is there.
is this one of them $50 options in the new cars???

yea i understand that about the lighter, I can get a new one but where does the ash tray even belong? I can't even see anything that might be for it at all?

the girlfriend told me that no ashtray means it's a non smoking car!!! she thinks that this will get me to quit....or I can have her 93 ga se

The ashtray sits in one of the cup holders. It looks like a black plastic muffin and has a burning cigarette on the cap. The lighter was probabily removed to power a radar detector.

I use the ash tray to put my change in.. :) works well for that purpose instead all over the car...

Ashtray is an option u can get when u pay extra, at least thats what it was with mine 01 , so I didnt get one :lol:

I dont got an ashtray in my car and I could really care less. Its funny to see some of the options. I dont have an ash tray, but I have power everythign plus a 6 way adjustable driver seat!

cheap I own a 02 grand am se1 and I have the ashtry it's a lil cup and I have the lighter,but that's how my car came either the orignally owner must have taken them out u can always go back to the dealer for a new ashtry and lighter though

the 02 SE IS GREAT TOSS A INTAKE AND EXHAUST ON IT AND you will run over alot of cars, SEs are always under rated i ran with a 02GT1 in Phx a while back with onyl aq intake and exhaust

Yep it is a option, my did not have a either. Unless the rental car company took it. I don't need it there is no smoking in the car i drive.

Mine had that option, and I don't smoke, so its useless to me. I'm like Dj, though. I use the ashtray for a change holder.
