I was driving with my girl to a gas station. The station has a large vertical ramp to get from the street to the station. I normaly drive slow over these condtions because if Idonlt I will scrap the plastic peice on my car. Anyway I was not thinking and I litleraly floored it up the ramp. the botom of the car hit VERY hard where it cause my cd to skip for about 10 seconds. I was so worried that I just totaly ****ed up my car but it drives like it always did and I see no visable leaks or damage under the car. Is there anything I should worry about and does this happen to other people?

A thing like this happen to my freinds car. She has a Nissan Sentras SE-R. One day her mom was using her car for whatever purpose. As she was backing up from her drive way she went of a curve. The whole back went over the curve. The curves on her street are really big and high. My freind took her car to the Nissan dealership as it was a brand new car and had a full bumper to bumper warranty. They checked it out for her. They told her that some pipes were bent under the car. They said that it really wasn't bad and there was no leaks coming from the bottom. So now the car is fine but it could break just about anytime. You I don't know if you have the same problem. Maybe you should take a look under your car if you haven't done so already.

Depends on where you hit, but once you get past the engine on a FWD there's not much under there that could actually be damaged other than a few dents and scrapes. The lowest part would probably be your resonator and even that and the exhaust is in the tunnel running through the middle of the car.

Take it to a garage and have them put it on a lift of you're concerned.

Oh.....AND SLOW DOWN!!!:D

It wouldn't hurt to have it checked out and probably wouldn't cost you a whole lot. Well worth the piece of mind.

If you go past the resonator the oil pan and tranny pan are pretty low compared to the things around them.

i'd say leave it as is, if it breaks build it stronger, if it doesnt then its strong enough.

lol..

hard to say from that description, did you actually hit the ground, or just bottom out your shocks?

I know my car has like skids that will hit the ground before anything else, part of the frame, will prevent damage.. did you break the plastic black thing at all, or even mark it? IF there is nothign visible, then prolly fine..
