i just installed a led underbody kit in my 99 ga se. it looks great except two of the lights are not pluged in. :( the reason is the rear and drivers side cords are not long enough to reach the controller, which is mounted in front of the coolant tank. the rear needs 6-8 more feet but the drivers only needs like 6 inches. the reason i put it there is i couldn't find a location where all four lights would reach so i stuck it up there because there is plenty of space. does anyone know where i can find extensions for them? i wish i could just splice into the wires and extend them myself but there is 8 of them per tube. (i think its because they have a scanning pattern) any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Move the transformer to somewhere in the interior. Thats all i could think of. There should be places. If I could find a picture. There is a person on here that put it right down in front of the drivers seat attached to the center console thing. The wires are easy to hide that way. If someone has the pic it would help.

EDIT: This is from silverbullet just take away the switches and thats where you could mount the led control box thing.

its not a controller like this one in the pic. (its magyver's controller by the way) its not really a controller at all. its just a small black thing that all the tubes have to hook into. it really sucks. i thought about putting it in the car but i couldn't find a way to get all 4 of the wires to go into the car.

ok, here's what i did!

take up the drivers side floor plastic piece, the trim piece that goes along the floor underneath the door (kick panel) deal... peal the carpet up a little, right down from where the edge of the carpet its is a hudge gap, the black box will fit in there, from there, you can slide the connector wire under the carpet and pull it out the slit that is under your seat for the power adjust, then go under your center console for your contorler box, my box is mounted to the side of the center console right below the shift know..

i dont like to run my wires underneath, and didnt want to drill a hudge assss hole so i ran my front one up the rain guard of the hood, through where the fender/door/window meet and ran it under the door seal and wedged it between the fuse box and door frame... the rear, i ran it up through where the wires for the tail lights come in ( take a knife and make a slit and run it through the rubber) then ran it under the carpet all the way to the side where the box is... havent installed the sides yet cuase its too snowy/slushy here...

hope that helps! any more just ask!

how long are the wires on your tubes??? that sounds like it would take a whole lot more wire than i have. and i have heard and seen that running wire in your door jam is really dangerous. my friends jeep eventually cut the wire in half. im still searchin for an extension, but no luck so far. the connections im lookin for look a little similar to the one on the lower right hand side of the pic of your controller. but thanks for your help.

yes, door jambs are bad, but, if your smart about it, like i said, i cut the door seal, went uderneath it, so the door never touches the wire, its under the seal... its 100 % ok, if you run a power wire over the seal, but its not dangerous, his fuse should have blown before anyting could have happend.. thats a differnt story... but if your kit is the same as mine, the lengths of the short tubes are differnt.. there is a long cord on one and a short cord on the other... i used the short cord on the front and hte long one on the back, and believe me, theres plenty of lenght! i had some left over...

Why dont you just call the compant and order some more wire? Thats what I had to do before. In my case, they only sold 70ft rolls of it so I asked to speak to a manager and told him I only need about 6 feet and he sent it to me for free. That was StreetGlow by the way. I'm sure any company would be more than helpful in this situation.
