Good luck getting 10 people to sign up for a $1600 door kit. Haven't we already figured out group buys in this community dont work because people say they will buy it and when it comes out suddenly they have no money. You guys couldn't even get a group buy for SE indiglow gauges that are $60 dollars a piece much less a $1600 kit.
Good thing a group buy wouldn't work, as lambo doors on GA's look stupid.

not to mention you have to get a welder, you can't just bolt those hinges on the door. The doors would have too much weight on them, snap right off..Guy on the local forum in Ohio here had a Sunfire which is now a combo of a Sunfire and Cavalier, looks pretty sweet...But he had to get a custom made door hinge kit for the Lambo style.....Its work and $$$.

there are a few worse looking things you could do to your car for $2000, and a lot of better things more worth the money.
if you took the time to do it right, and worked at it, i'm sure you could do the conversion for less. you need good hydraulics, a place and a way to mount them, and you may want to relocate the (and/or install another) latch. you may want the windowframe and the roof reinforced... don't want glass shattering and roofs popping every time you get in or out of the car.

Many of them do bolt right on and no need for welding.
If a kit is purchased it comes with the proper hinge already. If a bolt breaks that is because they didn't use the proper grade bolt.
Think about it, the factory hinge and bolts already hold the door, it doesn't matter what angle it is it still weighs the same. But if it really did matter holding a heavy object nearly upright would be easier than holding it out to the side horizonally.

Maybe with a crappy kit and/or installed by someone that doesn't know what they are doing.

If you have the money, I think it would look awsome. I wish all car doors were like that.
