What is planed for the event ?

What sort of things are done on such events ? I used to be in a few Jeep clubs, and well it wasnt to hard to figure out what we would end up doing for the weekend, and clean up was a large part of it :) mud is a pain in the ass to get out of the nooks in a vehicle :P

I'm waiting for Lebanon Valley Dragway to release their 2004 Schedule.. But for the most part it will be just like last year.
Friday afternoon/evening- We are going to try to meet up at the hotel and then play it by ear. Food, cruising, partying, etc.
Saturday morning- Head to Lebanon Valley Dragway for a day at the track.
Saturday Evening- Find a place to eat, cruise, etc.
Sunday Morning- Head to Thatcher Park for the BBQ and show-n-shine.

The days are really the only things that are planned, the evenings everyone can break off into groups and do different things, etc.

This year I'm going to try to compile a list of stuff to do including places to eat, bars, etc.

sounds like something i would like to come to... I have only had my GA for a few weeks, and i dont think it will be anywere near were i want it to be when the event comes, but i dont think i should let that stop me...

You shouldn't let it stop you. Last year we had alot of people that showed up with bone stock GAs and we all still had fun. :)

We like ALL Grand Ams ... it doesn't matter if they are modified to the max or show room stock ... just show up and meet other members which is half the fun :)

Man i want to go I just turned 18 so I can go just me and a friend. I can bring someone who's not a GAOC member can't I, He has a Grand Ambut he blew the block. My Grand Am Though Is messed up one of my friends hit me now my rear bumper is like fanned out on one side it's messed up.

..i seriously thought i was the only one that i was the only one with stock last year until i looked under the hoods, as far as i remeber Jason Houghton (redgrandam) is all stock..and we are even competeing this year at LVD :-D

That's what the site is all about. I would say even though the car is the basis of it, it's about the people more so than the car.

I went last year not knowing anyone. Now it feels like a big family!

Kelly and Shawn have become like brothers. This whole site has treated me very well. I very honestly could not complain if I wanted to.

Man even if you pull the GA in chunks you're more than welcome to come. We're even letting Jeep, Cadillac, and a couple of bike owners in I hear :D

It just occured to me after reading this that the drinking age in NewYork state is 21 isnt it!! ARRRRG :mad: :mad: :mad: That is a serious piss off!!! Im 20 , but here in Canada..they let us drink earlier....19 in ontario..and 10 mins from home (in Quebec)the drinking age is 18 :)

I wonder if im alowed to bring alcohol with me??? I work at the LCBO (liquor control board of Ontario) so it seems weired to me that i wont be able to drink!! I guess im DD as usual!!!

I was telling my friend about last years meet, and he thught it was really cool.... He was wondering if he could go as well.... It is ok if I bring a friend along, right? he wants to race his car at LVD, so he would be bringing his own car.... he is getting a '94 GEO Prizim 5spd.... so no competition there :D
