I have the opertunity to pick up a Holley big bore Throttle body for the 2.5 for $200.00, but in order for it to work on my 88 I need to have an adaptor plate made. The Fiero store sells them for over $300. Just wondering if its worth it.

About how much should I expect to pay for the machining of the adaptor?

consider your self 5 hp less and 500 dollars more. Dont waste your time, unless your building a superduty 4 you shouldnt need the big bore. Have you ever had your head ported and polished? that would give you good gains.

$500 lol? How so? Even if I did/do purchase one from the Fiero store brand new for $300, I don't see where an additional $200 would come from.

The only performance work done to my 2.5 has been bolt ons. Next winter I plan on at least having the head and intake ported & polished.
