Is there anything i can bulid or do for cheap to gain more Hp?

I drive a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am Gt 3300 v6 is there anything i can take off, bulid, dremmel or anything i buy for cheap to gain more hp or sound ? please hit me back thanxs Justin

thats cool but i already got a aem cold air intake , i mean any thing i use a dremmel on ,bulid or take off to gain more hp and anything thats under the hood :lol:

Remove the screen from the MAF. The think is there to keep junk from entering the engine and is not needed. It is a big airflow restriction.

It doesn't matter which forum you go to. You need to be SPECIFIC on what it is you want. It would probably help if you made a list of the things you have and then we can tell what you don't have and suggest it. Or are you going to send the people of this forum on a wild goose chase too?

I'm sick of seeing you post the same question on EVERY SITE and THREAD forum within the GA community.

No one can help you as you "supposedly have everything" anyone suggests.

P.S. To all the people that post, he can only spend $200 max for mods so Superchargers / Turbos, headers, etc are WAY out of this guys league.

Me and my pals keep telling him that engine mods aren't cheap and that there are little if any hp gains that can be bought for <$200 besides intake and exhaust.

When you say ported and polished throttle body, you mean that you bought a bigger throttle body and then ported and polished the plenum to match, right? So you must have done this with the "dremmel" you have, right? So it means that you must have ported and polished the whole UIM because why not do it while it's out, right? So what kind of numbers are you running at the track? That must be some fast GA with ported and polished throttle body and UIM, CAI, no MAF screen, and cat-back system. What else is there to do other than headers? Oh, I forgot, you don't know what headers are. You think headers and exhaust manifolds are the same thing and you don't care what we call it. Oh and remember, there isn't much you can do to the car with $20, no matter what forum you go to.

you could always bash out your catalytic convertor and port and polish your intake manifold, that should add a few ponys

taking out the AC in your car looses weight makin a bit more for ya

same with power steering. take out power steering ac and get an electric water pump and you will pick up an easy 20 horsepower. im not sure if the 3.8 rocker arms will fit but if they do get some roller rocker 1.6:1 ratios for more lift and easier on the cam. also like said above knock the stuffing out of the catalytic converter with a broom or a hammer for like 3 more. total gain should be somewhere around 30 hp. the rocker arms would be about 100 bucks and about the same for the water pump but you could scrounge that up if u sold ur power steering pump and ac equipment. not to mention if you took out ur evaporator and condenser compresser and lines from ac you will lose at least 40 lbs.
