appearance mods.

ok i'm going to be dropping off my car to the shop that is making two new kits for our cars. i've been in talk with them about future appearance mods such as hoods, fenders and so on. they want to see how much interest is in it. i know i'm always looking for more choices on hoods and stuff, but i wanna see how everyone else feels. i've checked out their hoods and they are reasonable priced on their carbon fiber hoods. i was thinking of seeing what they might charge to do like a war bird carbon fiber. what do you think??

I would say yeah on the fenders. I only know of AED having fenders for us..

if they looked good, were made reall good quality, Didnt need lots of modification. I would buy
if they had a big selection as well.
And im looking for fenders but dont feel like paying 700+ for the damn things like AED wants thats bs.

ok i just got back from the shop and i must say i was really impressed bythis place. i mean i have never seen so many body kits before at one time. mainly ricers though. he asked how many members there on the forum and i said about 4,000 and his jaw dropped. he didn't realize how much interest ther is in ga mods. so here it goes, they are making 2 and four door kits for 99+. yes there will be a 96 to 98 kit made(more in a different thread). yes on fenders and yes on hoods. we are going to wait until my kit is installed and then go from there on design of hoods and fenders:)

well the only bad thing about that is if you go with a factory color compaired to the paint being matched on say a 99, the color is going to be different. plus the price would be even more the aed kit.plus like any other appearance mod if comes pre painted you know it'll get screwed up some how

The only exterior add-on I would ever purchase would be a clear headlight housing. not sure if the shop would have the resources to produce those, but if they do, they'd have at least 1 customer if they could get rid of that amber.

hell yeah about time we got some people making lots of GA mods :)
did they say what types of materials they will be using to make their kits fenders hoods exec? Would be cool if they would make them out of the stuff stock kits are made out of. And made some really sweet looking ones

well so far the kits are being made out of fiberglass, but later on they will be going to the urathane, as far the hoods go it's carbon fiber. we haven't got into the fenders that much yet. but i'll be talking to them more in about a week or so.
