So for me driving would be INSANE 40+ hours or so :( I think my car would blow up by then. So I am toying with the idea of flying out, either direct to albany, or somewhere else to drive out with a member, so far direct to albany round trip is looking like a total cost of 655 CAD or so, thats not bad, anyway, my question for those of you driving, who wants a passenger? :D
If i can get the time off of work (god forbid i dont work there by then) and the tax return is enough, then I am in!
Just basically loking for some other optins, if it ends up being cheaper great, if not well then itll still be nice riding in someone else's GA ;)

Blake, if you want to fly to either Ottawa or Montreal I'm taking the Amtrak to Albany, only 65$ US.
tis an option, so far the price direct round trip to albany is the bcheapest way to go :D but still...thats a bit much to spend on a 4 day adventure, so im still having to look into things yet

If it helps you figure things out I'm leaving Ottawa on the Friday morning (around 6AM) for Montreal to take the train and coming back to Ottawa around 8PM on the Monday night. You can stay at my place without problem if you would like to fly in/out a few days before/after.
Well Ben, I gotta say I appreciate the offer, but here's about the best price I can come up with for a trip to Ottawa
C$669.56
6:00 am Depart Edmonton (YEG)
Arrive Ottawa (YOW) 2:38 pm Thu 10-Jun
Duration: 6hr 38min Air Canada 6237 / 1184
Connect in Calgary (YYC)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
7:05 am Depart Ottawa (YOW)
Arrive Edmonton (YEG) 12:55 pm Tue 15-Jun
Duration: 7hr 50min Air Canada 6263 / 8390
Connect in Calgary (YYC)
Total stops: 2
So go figure it's cheaper to go direct to albany!

Check out Jetsgo and WestJet regularly, they'll often vary their prices depending on demand. I know I'm going to Red Deer next month and initially the cheapest flight to Edmonton I could get was 550$. I waited a couple of weeks, looked almost every day and now I got a 430$ flight on WestJet.
Anybody else wants to tag along from Ottawa is welcome to do so.
You're going to red deer??? what for? when, and what are you doing to go from edmonton to red deer? ;)

My brother just moved to Red Deer from Calgary :D
I'll be there from March 22nd to April 9th. I'll let you know if we go to Edmnton during that time, we could have a beer or coffee or something :)
Sounds good man, would be cool to meet you!

What's wrong with your car?
you COULD always rent a car... a Grand Am too... and have fun with that at the track :D may be cheaper then flying....
Rick Id be looking at a 40 someodd hour drive to get there, hardly worth it, also i dont think i will be going the trip to seattle will likely be about it this year
