ok now i have a different probiblem. Sometimes when I turn the key to start the car instead of the motor turnin over it makes a loud grinding noise. Then ill go to start it again an it starts up fine:???: . Also it did this a while back so I replaced the starter drive an it didnt do it for a long time. So now it doing it again. Someone mentioned something about it could be a bad flywheel, or could be a bad starter. Also they said the starter could be loose. So if anyone else has had this happon or knows what the problem is PLEASE help a brotha out. PEACE OUT

Could be several things. Starters on our cars require shims that may not come with the new starter, and or could be lost when working on it. a bad selenoid will cause your problem, and sometimes replacement parts dont last more than a month if they are bad quality. The last thing i can think of is that your flywheel has burred due to improper shimming, and is tearing up starter drive gears.

Ok so is the selenoid inside the starter ? An the only thing I did a while back was take off the starter an removed the starter drive an replaced it an had the starter put back together by an mechanic to make sure it was put back together properly. Also p8ntman442 do you think my flywheel is possibly bad ? is it common for a flywheel to go bad on a 2.5 ? That would suck cuz I aint got the $$$ to pay for it right now.:( .
