Hey, I am new to the whole modding deal with cars. I need to know what I need to do or where to go to do some interior modding. I would like to make the color scheme white/gray or red/black or red/gray. I need to know what i need to etc. It's a 2000 grand am se 4dr. I would appreciate the info.

Lotsa stuff you can do...Recover seats, headliner, paint some trim...you didn't mention a price range or anything, so it's tough to give a whole lot of info.

theres quite a few things you can paint,BUT some might make or break the look, too much will ruin the look of it...A few things that you could start to do is paint the vent rings(trim around the vents, they come out) Dash Trim, trim pieces around the inside door handle. When these are painted it makes your interior stand out and looks good,if painted and done right. The color scheme is up to you.Usually people will go with a color that accents or flows with the body color of the car.Like mine,my car is white and right now im doing some interior pieces(vent rings, door handle trim,etc...) in white.I'll start to do the actual vents a blue.My scheme is white/blue.

paint them yourself:D We usually all do here. The vent rings come out by pulling on 3 tabs inside the vent, use some fishing line and make a U and use it as a hook and just pull til you hear a pop or a sound,do all the 3 and wah lah, they will just come out,the rings are just around the vent itself,it will just slip off.Im not familar with the newer GA trim pieces like the dash and where the screws for them are, maybe some of the members here with the newer year GA's can help on that part:)

yea spray paint....The brand to use is Dupli-Color Engine Enamel.Reason for the engine enamel is because it can withstand high tempratures without fading or cracking. Then use the same brand name Clear Coat, give a nice shine and smooth look. The best way about painting the pieces you want is to sand them a little bit,i wet sanded with i think 600,it gives it some abrasion(helps paint stick to surface) and also gets off any oil or dirt. You don't have to but i usually do,but primer the piece b4 you use the paint.Primer helps paint stick better. Then when your ready to paint just keep a nice even flow, back and forth,or side to side and change the angle that you spray so you get a good coverage, but also doing a light coat. 2 light coats and 1 heavy coat is what i usualy do on the small pieces.I've gotten nothing but compliments on my job, most people that i had the pieces professionaly painted because of the shine and smoothness the pieces have, just have to take your time when its time to paint, don't rush and over do it or you WILL get runs in the paint and will have to sand all that crap down.

wet sanding is taking sand paper that is marked(on rear side or on package) and dip a piece in water and then just lightly press down and sand away.

Add some neon lights, change your dome light bulbs to a different color.

On an unlimited budget, I would do the following:
- Recover the seats with some bad-ass leather
- Fiberglass the dash, smoothing out and shaving all the stupid shit that's there (such as the passenger airbag cover, etc.) and paint it
- Rear bucket seats covered the same as the front buckets
- Custom center console running all the way to the rear deck, covered in fiberglass, painted the same color as you choose for the dash, housing a couple 10s since there will never be room in my trunk for subs once i redo my setup (God, I can't wait)
- Billet steering wheel
- Billet vent rings
- Recover the headliner in vinyl that's the same color as the seats (you could use leather, but i've heard it's a ***** to work with for headliners)
- Depending on what your door panels look like, I'd either leave them alone, or do some leather and fiberglass work with them.
- Make sure your carpet's in good condition; if not, replace it
- I'd do absolutely no neon lights, but that's just my opinion; I think they look cheesey; don't hate me guys...
