I have 20% all around.. I think it looks really good.. If you don't want it too look black then 35%-50% is the way to go..
It looks good on your car though, I just think black is abit over used :)

platinum.......different companies call it different stuff, but it's 100% metal. they also have different shades. look for a kind called Llumar, only tint i'll use. had nothing but good experience with it. Llumar calls theirs platinum and it has a warranty for no peeling, bubbling, fading, cracking, etc. as long as you own the car. they have it in 52%, 35%, and 18%. but 18% looks more like about 10% because of the reflectivity, then if you tint the windshield like i did it drops it down to look like around 5%.
it's a strange tint. on some cars it looks silverish on other a kinda goldish color. i had my fiances mom put some on her dark green bonneville and it looked awesome. but if you want it darker or more of a black hue to it you can put another layer of black behind it. then it gets WAY dark. and to top it off the layer of black tint will not fade....or it will, but it'll take it forever and a day, because the platinum blocks 99% UV rays. which is what fades and dries out your dash and what fades most normal black tints. i strongly recommend this tint.
but if that color don't work for you and you choose black Llumar just came out with a black tint that is virtually the same thing as the platinum except it's black and i'm pretty sure it comes in more percentages.
again, i recommend this kind of tint to anyone, even if you have to drive an hour or two to get it. even their high performance (part dye part metal) tint last a while. my dad has some high performance of their stuff on his truck. it's been on there 5 years and has only a VERY SLIGHT trace of purple on the back window. and you can only see it in certain angles.

yeah, black is a neutral color. looks good on any color. i think most colored tint looks gay. im sorry to any i offended, and it usually don't last very long either because of all the dye used. if i were you i'd steer away from it
What does this platinum tint you mentioned usually run? Dont really care about price for a good tint, just looking for a ballpark figure.

Here they wanted over 200 bucks for the kind matt is talking about..
Ahh, and is it expensive to have installed? Cause the last time I tried to install any kind of decal thingy or celephane shit I had a bad bad bad time with bubbles.

Having it installed should not be expensive.. or I wouldn't think so...
What im planning to do with it is get some green ground effects, and have already god some chrome tips for my tail pipe. Also have some blue lights for the car, cool blues. Looking for other things to do with it before I start with some serious performance upgrades.

the installation should be included in the price. if i remember right i paid $260 for 18% all the way around and 35% on the windshield. or at least that's what I THINK paid. and i got charged $80 for the windshield alone, but i talked the guy down a little.
for my truck i gave the guy a $200 check, but he only charged me $160. but he did my windshield in some REAL expensive tint for nothing. he asked if he could use my truck as a guinea pig and i agreed. he said normally he would have charged about $200 for the amount of tint he installed on my windshield because it's some super badasss stuff made for home/office. so i gave him a $40 tip for a $200 windshield tint job....i think i came out smelling like a rose on that one.
i paid $160 for 35% all the way around (minus windshield) on the mom mobile.
the only reason it was so expensive for my fiance's GA was i didn't deal with the regular guy, i dealt with his brother. his brother did an equally good job, just charged me for what his brother wouldn't have :)
a normal dye/metal tint on your car is gonna run ya somewhere between $120-150 (rough guestimate. that's what it'd run ya here) why not pay an extra $20 or $30 and get something that's gonna last? and the black stuff that is like the platinum has about the same price as platinum and has the same warranty and everything too.
