I got my CAI installed a few days ago, and I noticed that I don't really hear it until I get down pretty hard on the throtle-nothing on idle or normal cruising. Is this the way it should be?

Here are a couple of clips of my car
While i'm shooting under the engine bay keep in mind i do have a custom exhaust. While i'm driving most of the sound is from my CAI. I've noticed its louder at higher RPMs (what a supprise)

clip2 (http://users.mn.astound.net/askewview/caisound2.avi)
These clips do use the divx codec for video compression.

Who cares about the sound? Performance should be about improvement in the engines power, and what you gain, not hte aesthetic and audible merits of the part.

Yea I got the whistle. I love the way it sounds when I am cruising then I punch the gas and I can hear the TB suck in air a fraction of a sec before it takes off. But, as I found out today, I am getting a 78 TA and I can't wait to hear how that sounds :D

All i did was hack off the old muffler, then weld on a cusotm pipe and i put 2 magnaflow mufflers on it. The stock cat/resonator/ and piping to the backk are still there
