Yesterday I installed my new street glow gold line underbody neons, and my purge valve. While I was under the car doing that my friend popped in my Hypertech 160 deg. thermostat (pretty easy to do, just twist off the cap, pull the old one out and push the new one in) By the time I got finished up with everything I didn't have enough timeto take it for a test run, but this morning I took it out to see if it made any difference.

I let it idle yesterday for a bit and it definately runs a lot cooler. I took it out this morning and it did seem to have a little more power than before. It definately makes sense because it is running a few degrees cooler.

Definately worth the $15.00 for it.

Try The Fiero store at the link I posted above. Did you tell them you needed it for a Grand Am or a Fiero? I haven't looked at any of Hypertechs catalogs, but there's a chance they don't have it listed as a part for the Grand Am, but the one the Fiero Store sells will DEFINATELY work.
