Hey everyone! I just yesterday converted into the ranks of GrandAm owner. I bought a 2004 GrandAm SE, 5 speed, 2.2L 4 cyl SFI. My last car was an '86 Honda Accord, and previous to that was an '88 Dodge Shadow:banghead: Hopefully pictures are soon to come as well!

Thanks guys. Yes, this car is a lot of fun, I have to be careful not to get a billion tickets. I've been getting all my errands done too, just so I can drive it :lol: I checked out your site, just wanted to ask - why is your fuel door a different color in the one picture? I'm assuming it's a mod of some sort, can I ask why? Not trying to be rude, just curious.;)

just out of curiosity, which of the 3 did you like best. which was faster, hadled better, stopped faster, ect.

i wonder because a friend of mine use to have a late 80's dodge shadow and it was spunky, but that was before i had my ga. and i know i could have blowen his doors off with my gt. but i hear the 2.2's arent to bad either.

OMG it's really no competition. An '86 Honda/'88 Shadow compared with BRAND NEW Grand Am? :O The Shadow was a big hulkin' piece o' doodoo, I bought it for $500 in 2000, finally junked it in 2002. My Honda was great, I really did love it. My grandmother bought it new, and probably never drove it more than 15 miles away from her house, then gave it to my mom, who later gave it to me. It had 122k on it when I traded it in, sad day :( But it's SO nice to have a new car, it takes a lot less time to heat up, everything works like new, and the handling is a lot better. I think this car is actually lighter than my Accord too. The other plus is that it's a 5 speed, for the first time ever I had the option!

I will 'fess up, I've been a Honda lover for a long time, but the Honda dealership wouldn't finance me and sent me to Pontiac. OMG and the salesguy kept trying to sell me a V6 automatic b/c it had more options. He didn't seem to understand that 5-speed is way superior, even with a 4 cyl :lol: But I do like my car, I think I got a great deal and it's hella fun to drive.

The fuel door was the second to last mod I made before winter. I got the car in Aug 03 and put wheels on the first week, the bra and visors came a couple weeks later. I took pictures at that point. Then I installed the fuel door and took close-ups of it and added it to the portfolio. The LED third brake light was the last mod of 03.

I have a list of things I would like to do in '04.
