I'll be passing through Ontario..... I know I passed signs for Ottawa, I'm sure we could work something out. Shoot me a PM and we'll compare the routes we'll be driving.

I was planning on driving to Montreal and taking the Amtrak down but if you're leaving from Ottawa I wouldn't mind keeping you company and bumming a ride with you. We can split the cost of gas and everything.

Plus you'd get a premium guide, I drove there last year and I know the way both going through Montreal and the 1000 islands bridge.

Extra bonus is I'll be able to bring the traditional 24s of beer :D

I have no idea how to get there so maybe a guide wouldnt be such a bad idea! I might bring a friend but there is still at least two seats available in the car so i dont see a problem with ya hitching a ride!(no ax murderers alowed....might get blood on the seats...wouldnt want that):)

See, here's a good reason to get leather seats, blood is much easier to clean :D

I had planned on leaving on Friday morning and coming back on Monday. Is that what you had in mind? It's about 7-8 hours of driving, depending on traffic and how busy customs are.

Leather is cool on the behind though during these cold canadian winters!!

I was originaly planing on leaving on thursday and coming home on sunday...but now that i think about it it would probably be better to follow your plan and leave friday morning and come back on monday! I looked in to how long it should take to get there from ottawa (using tripmaker and asking people who have been) and aparently it souldnt take us longer than 7hours, (tripmaker said 6.5 with 45mins at the boarder) and that it can be done in under 5 hours. i doubt that we can make it there that quick because everytime i go to the US they search my car! Aparently i fit the description: young guy driving nice black car! Every drug dealer ive ever met didnt drive a nice car?? :???: Oh well!!

Anyways get back to me!!! hopefully we can meet before we go!! we can live that far from each other!

well I'm going on vacation next week and I'll be gone for a month or so. I'm planning on setting up an Ottawa meet when I come back though so I'm sure we can see each other there.

I had also scheduled about 45 minutes for lunch on the way :)

I came back on sunday last year but it made me miss half the fun. DEFENITELY a good idea to stay there until Monday. And stuff only really start on Friday so no need to get there too much in advance. You should book your room ASAP to be sure to be with us at the Quality Inn. I'd let you share mine but we're already triple-bunked :D

OttawaGAGT, are you still going to the meet? I'd like to know ASAP just to figure out exactly what my plan will be...

Jason, you guys going through Syracuse? We could join forces there...
