Does any1 know how to tint a compound bow window? Would u have to pre-shrink it b4 cutting it or lay it in strips? :???:

a compound bow window. it's really late. what the hell is that? :lol: if you mean like the windshield you shrink it before you install it. strips are a bad idea. if you're really good you can do it in big pieces and not be able to tell. but i would suggest you do it in one big piece.....less chance of a problem

thanks, that helps but if you start it then burn it :bawl:you would have a problem (sarcastic) its my 3 time and it just dont seem like it wants to lay down...:help2: Do you have to start from one end to the other or does it matter :???:

what window are you trying to tint? you're right. you can burn it too much and it will shrivel up like a dried up prune. my advice is let the professionals do it. then if they mess it up they gotta fix it :D
but to answer your question i'd use a heat gun on the 750degree setting and just kinda shrink the places where it needs to be. you start putting the heat to the entire thing and you're going to shrink the entire thing :)

Is their anything else you could use instead of a heat gun? maybe small propane torch?

i think the propane torch would probably melt it lol. might try a hair dryer, but i dont' know if they have the juice to get it warm enough. you can buy a heat gun a wal-mart for like $20
